Lesondak News and Needs
We are working on bringing a group of Slovaks here to Chattanooga. They will be part of an internship program at New City Fellowship in Chattanooga from May 16-June 4. We are working on all the logistics, housing arrangements, letters of invitation, etc. The biggest concern at the time is for their visas. When one applys to the US Embassy in Slovakia they need to prove that there are significant "ties" that would bring them back to Slovakia. They need to prove that they will not just disappear into the American system once they are here. All of them are part of the church plant in Trnava but from the perspective of a consular official, some of them look risky, i.e., no land or property to bring them back, large savings in the bank, or not in school, etc. So please, PLEASE pray that their visas are granted.
- We also give praise that almost half of the Building Expansion and Relocation Project funds have been raised! There is still a long way to go but God is more than able.
- We also need prayer for our personal support level. As of now it looks like we won't be able to return by August '08 unless some major donors give towards our support.
- Prayer for our children (Ethan and Laurel) to finish their studies at Covenant College well.
