jobsearchministryUnemployed? Underemployed? Unhappily employed? We're here to help you.

To communicate the gospel through deeds of discipleship for those in need of employment improvement.

Our Job Search Ministry is not a placement agency. It provides a Christian environment where people can let their hair down and learn techniques that they hadn't heard of or dared to try.  If you are either unemployed, underemployed or unhappily employed, this ministry is for you.

Accountability because we care:

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” - Ephesians 2:10

Most importantly, we make a commitment to support you, pray for and with you, encourage you and hold you accountable to do your homework and follow through until you land a satisfying new job.

We point you in the direction you need to go. And we do it all in the spirit of Christ. In other words, we don't do the work for you, but we do what we can to help, and mostly show you what you have to do yourself.

Our desire is to be there for our brothers and sisters going through a dark valley.

Instruction to guide you:

  • Techniques for developing potential employment leads, including how to organize them, pursue them, and systematically follow-up on them.

Our Approach

What we do is simply sit down with you, finding out your unique situation and ask the hard questions.  A typical employer is looking for someone who is definitely qualified but also is determined and enthusiastic about the job prospect.  JSM will seek to find out what you really like, strongly dislike and what you're good at.  We will utilize proven techniques to discover and develop your skills and qualities.

How do I get involved?

Set up an meeting with a JSM counselor.
