Who's who in the pew...

Jeanne and Ed Fox - 08/01/2007

This month its a real treat to introduce you to Jeanne and Ed Fox. Ed was absent for the interview, but it matters little since Jeanne and I never stopped talking. They are a lovely couple with blended families and have been married for 28 years. They each have 2 children with an even mix of boys and girls. Together they delight in 4 grandchildren. Ed is a retired Biology teacher and Jeanne a retired English teacher. As a matter of fact, they met at work! They live in the community of Arnell Creek but still maintain a residence in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. (Jeanne says she is keeping her foot on first base.) She enjoys swimming, reading, tennis, and talking....oh, I didn't mean to say that! She teaches water aerobics in their community pool and has classes at another local pool. She is the permanent substitute for the aerobics class at the YMCA which keeps her busy in the winter. She is a great instructor and it's more of a workout than I realized.

Ed is a quiet guy, a little shy but has a real passion for music. Jeanne says he is a great singer. He also enjoys golf and gardening and also works part-time as a house painter.

These two have a lot of energy for retired people! They usually go to Florida sometime in the winter and expect to go on a cruise in September.

When asked what brought them to NCPC, Jeanne said they were looking around down here and rode by and saw our sign. They joined the church last December and love the friendliness of the congregation and the preaching of both pastors. Jeanne was so much fun to interview because she is so grateful for the wonderful life she has and even praises God for bringing their summer boarders from Bulgaria. I'm sure at this point Milena, Annie, and Oggie are giving high praise for the generosity that has allowed them to stay at the Fox home. Many thanks, Jeanne, for letting us get to know you a little better. We're glad you chose NCPC as your church of choice.
