A Note From Pat
Recently during one of my weekly trips to Md. I saw a truck with a bumper sticker which read "love is fleeting, knowledge is forever."
There is something very wrong with that statement. The Bible tells us in Psalm 106 that there is a love which endures forever; that love is God's love. Instantly I thought of the Chris Tomlin song Forever, which we have sung recently during worship. That very Scripture is a part of the powerful lyrics of this song.
Memorizing Scripture is not always easy for me to do. But when Scripture is set to music I can recall the verse quickly. Many of our gifted hymns and contempory Christian music writers compose songs with lyrics that are made up of Bible verses set to music. I am thankful that I can utilize our hymns and our praise and worship music to help remind me of verses like God's unending love which does endure forever.
